Work field: ethical and political consumption

Laura Terragni, Ph.D., is a senior research fellow at the Norwegian National Institute for Consumer Research. Italian but living in Norway since 1999, she is a sociologist with a broad field of expertise and interests, with a main focus on consumption and social mobilisation. In the last years she has been involved in two EU projects, about consumer trust in food and consumers concerns about animal welfare. In the last year, she has been leading a project about ethical/political consumption and the role of public authorities, commissioned by the Norwegian Ministry of Children and Family Affairs. Currently, she is coordinating a strategic project on the politics of consumption aimed at investigating the role of consumers in a globalized economy.
